Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Arrest of Two on Drug Charges

HANNIBAL – Marta Jean Nolen, 31, of Hannibal, and Matthew Alan Merrill, 28, of Fulton, were arrested following a joint investigation by the Oswego County Drug Task Force, the Fulton City Police Department, and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department.

A search warrant was conducted on March 20, 2013, and resulted in the recovery of a large amount of heroin.

The results of the investigation were presented to the grand jury which indicted both Nolen and Merrill on the following charges:
• Criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd – class B Felony
• Criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th – class D Felony

Nolen was arrested and arraigned in Oswego County Court by Hon. Walter Hafner Jr. on Thursday and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 secure bail bond.

She is due back in Oswego County Court on November 13 at 9 a.m.

Merrill was arrested and arraigned in Oswego County Court by Hon. Walter Hafner Jr. on Friday and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center on $5,000 cash or $10,000 secure bail bond.

He is due back in Oswego County Court on November 18 at 9 a.m.
