Oswego County Hospice Regatta Raises $23,000 with Community Support


The 16th Annual Hospice Cup Regatta, held on June 20, raised $23,000.

That will be used to support Oswego County Hospice patients and their families.

Our success is directly tied to the support we receive from this community, both businesses and individuals.

Major Sponsors were Exelon Generation, NBT Bank, Pathfinder Bank, NRG, Kinney Drugs, Entergy and Excellus.

C’s Farm Market, Dunkin Donuts, Guido Vending and Kinney Drugs in Mexico provided food and beverages for the Sailor’s Breakfast.

The musical duo Ontario provided free entertainment at the Summer Solstice Reception.

Our regatta raffle prizes were donated by Broadwell Hospitality Group and Cindy Mather and Peg Stone.

Silent auction donations were made by Riverview Wellness Center, Picture Connection, Ray’s Furniture Perk, Donna Dubois Taylor, Raby’s Home Center, Geoff Baer, Amanda Baker, Victoria Crawley, Betty Dunsmoor, Dufore’s Diamonds, Carol Elmer, Helen & Dan Hoefer, Kimmy Norton, Alyson Inman/North Coast Yoga, JP Jewelers, OCHD Preventative, Wegmans, Ontario Health & Fitness Center, Oswego Cinema, Oswego County Hospice Staff, Tom and Ann Reitz, Rhonda Hutchins, SailorBags, Salmonsen’s Garage, Gibby O’Connor’s Irish Pub, Kathryn and Terry Smith, Dr. Richard Tesoriero, Amy Tressider and Vona’s Restaurant.

Graphics support, printing and advertising were donated by Step One Creative, Oswego Printing and Mitchell’s Speedway Press.

The Summer Solstice Reception was hosted by Lighthouse Lanes and featured donations from Fajita Grill, Mimi’s Drive-In, Press Box, American Foundry, Paul’s Big M, Tavern on the Lock, Blue Moon Grill, Bosco & Geers, Canale’s, Subway, Jimmie James BBQ, CAMS New York Pizzeria, Garafalo’s, Vona’s, Price Chopper, Cakes Galore, Lombardo’s Bridie Manor, Kathy’s Cakes, Greene’s Ale House and Guido Vending. Tables were donated by the Scriba Volunteer Fire Department.

The Oswego Yacht Club, as always, was a gracious host and provided us with the support we needed to have such a successful event.

Thanks go out to all who sailed in the regatta and those who came out to our highly attended reception.

An event such as this could not happen without the help of our regatta organizing committee and dozens of volunteers. This outpouring of support is overwhelming and on behalf of Oswego County Hospice, patients and their families, thank you all for what you do. You make life a little easier for our hospice patients and families at a time when they need it the most.
