OSWEGO — Oswego held its annual end of season invitational tournament on October 20 with Oswego and 7 other teams from around Central New York coming together for a final tournament – Fulton, Westhill, Oswego, Auburn, Fowler, Marcellus, South Seneca and Solvay.
Great day of volleyball and some really good rallies and back and forth games.
Winning the gold division was Fulton by beating Westhill in two close sets and South Seneca was the winner for the Silver bracket by defeating Auburn in 2 sets.
Oswego had a good showing and we were not able to beat South Seneca in our silver semi-final but both of our sets were decided by 2 points.
We had a fun day and the tournament was a lot of fun to both play in and host.
We came into the game with some emotion knowing it was our last one of the season.
Good volleyball on both sides of the net and some really great rallies – but in the end Auburn kept all their serves in both of the first 2 sets and it was the difference maker in the end.
We struggled with serving in the first two sets and Auburn took advantage of those errors.
We have had a fun season full of growth and these young ladies have been fun to watch throughout the season.
