The theme may be apples, which as the saying goes, keeps the doctor away.
But that won’t stop Oswego Health staff members from offering free health screenings and information at the Central Square Lioness Club’s apple festival on September 27 and 28.
At this annual event, the health system will once again have a large tent, where staff will provide blood pressure and bone density screenings, as well as answer questions about the services offered at the nearby Central Square Medical Center.
Children and youths will also be able to make their own first aid kit.
This is the third year that Oswego Health has participated in the festival.
The hours of the festival are September 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on September 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festival will be held at the Brewerton Speedway, located on Route 11.
Oswego Health operates the CSMC at 3045 East Ave. (Route 49), which offers urgent care, laboratory, medical imaging and physical therapy services.
A board-certified physician is always available at the urgent care center to treat minor illnesses and injuries.
The urgent care is open from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.
For those needing lab or medical imaging services, they are available weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends and holidays.
