Oswego Speedway to Start Half Hour Early, SBS Heats Green at 6 p.m.

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway’s racing action, presented by Oswego County Federal Credit Union and Bosco’s Famous Italian Sausage, will start 30 minutes early tonight with Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super heats taking the green at 6 p.m.

Most regional weather models are showing weather moving into the area later tonight.  As a result Speedway officials have decided to bump up the start time for tonight’s event to 6 p.m.

Small Block heats will be followed by Novelis Supermodified heats at approximately 6:30 p.m. with the first of two Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super Twin 20 main events going green immediately following the Supermodified heat races.

The night’s racing program will run in normal order, just 30 minutes ahead of normal timing.

A rain date of Sunday, August 17 is in effect.  Should Sunday’s rain date be needed, racing action will start at noon.

“We plan to work as efficiently and as quickly as possible to get the entire program in tonight,” said Speedway Race Director, Chuck Handley.  “If weather should happen to get to us, we will hang on as long as possible to get the program in on Saturday before moving to the posted rain date.”

All Saturday gate times and warmup schedule will remain as normally posted.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. today with grandstand gates opening and hot laps beginning at 4 p.m.

General admission seating is available for only $17 with Price Chopper Tickets to Go again available at any Price Chopper Supermarkets store for only $14.

Once again in 2014, kids 16 & under will be admitted free of charge with a paid adult with active military also admitted free with ID.
