Oswego Speedway’s Spring Championship to ‘6-Pack the Back’ on June 11

OSWEGO, NY – After a week off from competition, Oswego Speedway will be back at it on June 11 for the Spring Championship presented by C’s Beverage Center and Century 21 Galloway Realty featuring the first ever ‘6-Pack the Back’ promotion.

‘6-Pack the Back’ For the first time in several years, Oswego Speedway will allow six pack size coolers to be brought into the Speedway’s rear grandstand only on June 11.

Food and beverage will be permitted inside coolers, including beer.

One cooler per individual allowed, with no glass containers.

Anyone who leaves the confines of the Speedway’s rear grandstand will not be allowed re-entry with a cooler.

All seating in the rear grandstand will be general admission seating on June 11, set at $20. There will be concession stands open in the rear grandstand also.

Fans with 2016 season passes will be able to use those passes for the rear grandstand.

Anyone purchasing a Price Chopper Ticket to Go for June 11 that wishes to sit in the rear grandstand will have to pay $5 to enter.

Coolers and outside food and beverage will not be permitted in the front grandstand.

General admission seating in the front grandstand will be set at $15.

After three weeks of competition in Oswego Speedway’s Novelis Supermodified division there have been three different winners.

Michael Barnes, Kody Graham and Dave Danzer have all raced to Turning Stone Resort Casino Victory Lane this season, but after three full weeks they all still chase seven-time champion Otto Sitterly.

With three top five finishes to start the season Sitterly holds a nine-point edge on the Syrell Racing No. 68 of Barnes, as the schedule moves toward the month of June.

The only other driver besides Sitterly to have finished in the top five in each event this season is the TK2 Motorsports No. 5 of Tim Devendorf, who has jumped to the best start of his career.

Devendorf rides third in the standings just five points out of the runner-up position and 14-points behind championship leader, Sitterly.

Brandon Bellinger and Dave Gruel currently round out the top five in the championship with Michael Muldoon, Danzer, Graham, Jeff Abold and Aric Iosue the top ten.

The Pathfinder Bank SBS side of the standings is extremely tight with the first seven competitors all within 21 points of each other.

After scoring the opening night win of the season Mike Bond still holds the lead with Dave Cliff trailing by only one point.  Kreig Heroth sits third just four points behind with Anthony Losurdo in fourth only five markers back.

Mike Bruce rounds out the top five with Camden Proud, Jack Patrick, Dalton Doyle, Barry Kingsley and Scott Shafer the top ten runners.

Pit gates will open on June 11 at 3:30 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 p.m. with the start of hot laps.

The night’s first heat race will go green at 6:30 p.m.

Kids 16 and under will again be admitted free at all Speedway events in 2016, including the rear grandstand this weekend, with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend and Race of Champions Weekend.

– Price Chopper Tickets to Go participants must pay $5 to sit in rear grandstand
– Any six pack size cooler permitted.  Does not have to be an Oswego Speedway cooler
