Oswego State Field Hockey Pair Honored

Cortland, NY – The State University of New York Athletic Conference has released its 2013 Field Hockey All-Conference Teams, which include two members of the Oswego State squad.

Seniors Ashley Collins and Ashley Fiorille both earned the honor with Collins named to the First Team and Fiorille placed on the Second Team.

Collins finished with nine points on the season coming off a goal and four assists. The senior started every game for the Lakers in 2013. Collins anchored a defense that gave up under three goals per game (2.79) and held opponents to a sub-.200 shooting percentage (.192).

Fiorille led the team in points during the season, tallying four goals and six assists. The forward also had a game-winning goal against Elmira College on October 1st. She finished in eighth among SUNYAC players for total assists.

Oswego finished the 2013 campaign with a 5-9 overall record and a 1-5 conference mark.
