Lake Ontario report:
Yesterday the wind was an issue but it looks like good conditions on Friday and a bit of choppy water for Saturday with some showers. Anglers have been finding a very good brown trout bite in up to about 60 feet of water. Lake trout have been active with a few steelhead and salmon in the mix. Bass season opened on Saturday so look in shallow water using tube jigs and crankbaits.

On Tuesday we started for lake trout. Caught a good number of those and then switched up to try for salmon or steelhead. It was a lakers day as we caught a couple more giant lake trout.
According to Capt. Andy Bliss of Chasin’ Tail Adventures:
Things have changed somewhat after Wednesday’s wind. We are starting to see more salmon with 120-280 feet of water being the ticket from Oswego to the Salmon River. Meat rigs have been doing well in chrome patterns in the sun and whites early pulling A-TOM-MIK meat rigs. Shenster, cannonball, stud and steel gator are getting it done!
Oswego River report:
The water flow is currently at 1110 CFS. Anglers continue to find some walleye action using stickbaits and jigs. Bass season opened on Saturday with crayfish a suggested bait to try.

Salmon River report:
According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
Yesterday we had a handful of guests who reported a pretty decent bass bite with various types of minnow streamers being effective. It seems the thunderstorms Tuesday evening and the cold front that followed increased bass activity. The water release continues at 185cfs and the Pineville gauge is still holding steady in the 240cfs range.
Oneida Lake report:
The really warm weather moved out for Wednesday with more seasonable temperatures expected for the next few days. Anglers are finding a walleye bite in 25-35 feet of water and also out in deeper depths over 45 feet. Bucktail jigs tipped with a nightcrawler and blade baits are working well. Anglers were also finding a decent perch bite. Just a reminder that bass season has opened and they have been active in shallow water.
Sandy Pond report:
Bass season opened Saturday so look along the weed beds using spinnerbaits and rubber worms. Anglers are continuing to find some walleye activity using stickbaits and jigs.
