FULTON, NY – Family Practice Physician Esther Serwadda-Lubinga has joined the Oswego Health active medical staff and will open an office at 20 Canalview Mall in Fulton in early April.
Dr. Lubinga is board certified in family practice medicine and most recently provided care in Manitowoc, Wisc.
She recently returned to the area with her husband, Anesthesiologist Stanley Lubinga, MD, who has been providing care in Oswego Hospital’s seven-suite surgery center since September.
The family practice physician said she decided to open an office in Fulton to fill a void in the community. “My patients will find me knowledgeable and caring and I look forward to treating their chronic diseases, hypertension, upper respiratory issues, as well as many other illnesses and injuries,” Dr. Lubinga said. “In medical school I realized that family practice suited me as I enjoy treating the young as well as the old. I have learned that the kids keep me young and the mature patients, make me wiser. I also find it rewarding to treat the whole family,” she said.
Dr. Lubinga obtained her medical degree from Makerere University, in Uganda. She completed her internship and residency at the Forbes Regional Hospital in Pittsburg.
Dr. Lubinga and her husband, have three children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, watching movies and playing tennis.
As a student growing up in Uganda, she played tennis competitively for her middle and high schools.
