Oswego Health Charity Walk/Run a Success

More than 70 people took part in the fifth annual Oswego Health Charity Run/Walk that supported diabetes education and educational programming at the Fulton and Oswego YMCAs.

The top three male finishers in the 5K Run were Ed Lindo with a time of 20:41; Brandon Weaver was second with 21:36; and John Turner placed third with 23:23. The top three female finishers in the 5K Run were Beth Foederor 22:14; Kelly Storms 24:25; and Karen Crisafulli 25:09. Lindo has previously won this event, and this is the fifth time Foederor has won the women’s race.

For the walkers the top finishers in the 5K male and female events respectively were Brad Korbesmeyer, David Murray, Richard Allen; Kathy Pilon, Nicole VanHorn, and Bonnie Metcalf. In the 1.5 mile event, the top finishers for male and female events respectively were Jim Abel, Don White, Robert Wood, Cinda Shupe, and Lorraine Nash.

Several participants collected pledges for the cause and awards were given to the top three who collected the greatest dollar amounts. They included Lorraine Nash, David Murray, and a tie for third between Tom O’Toole and Susan Familo. O’Toole was also the winner of the silent auction for the Canadian getaway trip.
