Oswego County Sheriff’s Office: Monday, 08/24/09

On 8/21/09 at 2:10 p.m., David A. Jones, 40, of 222 CR 36, Chase Mills, NY, was arrested at the State Police Barracks in Alexandria Bay based on an arrest warrant issued by Town of Hannibal Court charging him with Criminal Sex Act, First Degree, a class B felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor. Mr. Jones was arraigned before Town of Hannibal Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to Town of Hannibal Court on 10/06/09.

On 8/22/09 at 7:48 a.m., Joshua D. Allen, 21, of 2095 Lake St., Sandy Creek, NY, was arrested at the Oswego County Correctional Facility based on a bench warrant issued by Village of Pulaski Court. Mr. Allen was arraigned before the Hon. James Gracey, Town of Mexico Court, released on his own recognizance, and returned to the Correctional Facility. He is scheduled to appear before Village of Pulaski Court on 9/02/09.

On 8/22/09 at noon, two males, ages 16 and 17, both residing in the Town of Hannibal, and a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Sterling, were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, stemming from a suspicious persons investigation that was initiated after they were observed huddled in the Hannibal Cemetery, then observed walking deeper into the Cemetery. Each was reported to be in possession of pipes containing marijuana residue. The youth from Sterling was reported to be in possession of a dangerous instrument, which was confiscated. Each of the youths were issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge before Town of Hannibal Court on 9/15/09 and released.

On 8/22/09 at 2:40 p.m., Ronald R. Knight, Jr., 20, of 168 Syracuse Avenue, Oswego, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Town of Mexico Court, charging him with Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Mr. Knight was arrested at the Public Justice Center in Syracuse. He was arraigned before Town of Mexico Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond. Mr. Knight is scheduled to return to court on 9/08/09.

On 8/22/09 at 3:00 p.m., David L. Kingsbury, 28, of 216 Duer St., Oswego, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Hon. James Metcalf, Oswego County Family Court, charging him with violating Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support). Mr. Kingsbury was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Shanley, Oswego City Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 8/24/09 to answer the charges.

On 8/22/09 at 10:10 p.m., Kyle T. Toth, 26, of 4120 SR 69, Mexico, NY, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Registration Suspended (insurance lapse on 6/20/09) following a traffic stop on SR 69 in the Town of Parish after a License Plate Reader targeted his vehicle. Mr. Toth was issued a ticket returnable to Town of Parish Court on 9/08/09. His vehicle was towed and he was released to a third party.

On 8/22/09 at 10:11 p.m., Robert A. Bushart, 54, of 3632 Maple Street Road, Lyons, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (suspended for DWI on 11/14/2004 and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test on 11/23/2004), following a traffic stop on SR 3 in the City of Fulton. Mr. Bushart was further ticketed with Insufficient Lights as he was found to be operating a vehicle without headlights. He is scheduled to appear before Fulton City Court on 9/02/09 to answer the charges.

On 8/22/09 at 10:52 p.m., Lawrence J. Yacketta, 34, of 7 Birch Lane, Apt. 33E, Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (Conditional License suspended for failure to pay a a driver assessment fee on 7/14/09), and Inadequate Lighting, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving eastbound on CR 4 in the Town of Scriba with an inadequate driver’s side headlight. Mr. Yacketta was issued tickets returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 9/03/09 and released. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 10/23/09 at 6:41 p.m., a 16 year old male residing in the Town of Hannibal, was arrested for Menacing, Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from a domestic incident. The youth was arraigned before the Hon. Eugene Hafner, Town of Hannibal Court, and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on 10/16/09. The youth is accused of causing damage to his residence, the result of throwing a telephone, which caused damage to a wall, and kicking a door, which caused damage to the door frame. He is further accused of spitting on the victim and threatening that victim with a baseball bat, causing the victim to fear for their safety.
