On 11/20/08 at 4:04 p.m., Kristy A. Shortslef, 29, of 183 Ellen St., Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (suspended 11/14/08 out of Town of Scriba Court for failure to appear), following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on CR 51A in the Town of New Haven. Driving a 2003 Oldsmobile eastbound, Ms. Shortslef reportedly lost control of her vehicle while attempting to avoid a deer one mile west of CR 51. The vehicle exited the roadway and struck a fire hydrant then a few small trees. Released on a ticket, Ms. Shortslef is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of New Haven Court on 12/04/08.
On 11/20/08 at 8:13 p.m., Shara B. Ritter, 30, of PO Box 462, Rodman, NY, was ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (revocation on 3/30/03 for operating without insurance and on 7/01/06 for traffic infractions while a restricted license was in use) and Failed to Keep Right stemming from the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on I-81 in the Town of Parish two miles north of SR 69. Ms. Ritter reportedly fell asleep at the wheel while driving a 2003 Kia suburban northbound, causing her vehicle to drive off the east side of the road and strike the guide rail. She was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. She is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Parish Court on 12/09/08.
On 11/20/08 at 11:01 p.m., Paul E. Dennison, 26, of 709 Schuyler St., Syracuse, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, and Moved from Lane Unsafely stemming from a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Dennison was reportedly driving a Saturn southbound on CR 6 when he drove off the west side of the road along the ditch for about 100 feet near Gilbert Mills Road before he struck a wooden fence that encloses a horse pasture at 1163 CR 6. Mr. Dennison was later located at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton and arrested. Released to a third party, Mr. Dennison is scheduled to appear before Town of Volney Court on 12/15/08 to answer the charges.
On 11/21/08, Jerry M. Metheney, 24, of 601 Burlington St., Watertown, NY, was arrested at 3:23 a.m. based on an Oswego County Family Court Warrant charging him with violating Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support). Mr. Metheney was arraigned before Town of Richland Court and released on $500 bail. He is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 11/26/08.
