Sheriff’s Department 06/04/2008

On 6/03/08, Benjamin R. Baker, 19, formerly of 248 W. Fifth St., Oswego, NY, and currently an inmate at the Oswego County Correctional Facility, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband, Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor. The charge is the result of an investigation, which reportedly found that on 5/23/08, Mr. Baker, while an inmate, possessed a balloon containing marijuana, which he reportedly obtained from a visitor he received there that day. Mr. Baker was issued an appearance ticket requiring him to appear before Oswego City Court on 6/26/08 to answer the charge.
Stemming from the same investigation, on 6/03/08, Peter J. Maliszewski, 36, formerly of 363 W. Third St., Fulton, NY, and currently an inmate at the Oswego County Correctional Facility, was arrested for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class E felony, and Promoting Prison Contraband, Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor, which found that on 5/23/08 Mr. Maliszewski possessed a balloon containing marijuana, while he was an inmate, and reportedly flushed the balloon and most of its contents down a toilet as officers approached his cell for a search. Mr. Maliszewski was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charge before Oswego City Court on 6/26/08.
