An invitation has been issued to the public by the Officers and Directors of the Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc. to attend their third annual Celebrations Event and dinner at the Fulton Polish Home, 153 West First Street, Fulton, N. Y. on November 4, 2011.
The Celebrations event will be a colorful start to the holiday season and will honor the thirty-second anniversary of the founding of the Friends of History and the 100th anniversary of the Fulton Polish Home. The annual Elma J. Smith award will be presented to the Fulton Polish Home in honor of their anniversary and as recognition of their successful efforts to help their membership become educated about their American citizenship, while retaining their Polish heritage. Today, members of the Polish Home are involved in community activities and share their time and talents by volunteering in many ways.
The event will begin at 6 P. M. with a reception and cocktail hour, followed by a buffet dinner at 7 catered by Gary Bevacqua. There will be musical entertainment by Jasin (John) Klocek during the cocktail hour and also during the dinner. Dave Bullard, of Oswego County Today, will act as Emcee and John Kruk, Oswego County Treasurer and Fulton Polish Home member, will give a brief history of the Fulton Polish Home. There will also be some surprise entertainment during the program. There will be 50/50 drawings and gift basket and lottery tree raffles to benefit the Friends of History. The Friends of History is a 501-(C) (3) not for profit organization and has successfully operated the John Wells Pratt House local history Museum for thirty-two years at 177 South First Street, Fulton, N. Y.
