Pulaski Students Win CNY Art Awards

PULASKI – Several Pulaski Academy & Central School students have been accepted into the 2016 CNY Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit, where pieces will be on display through Feb. 26 in the Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.

Nearly two dozen PACS entries received gold, silver or honorable mention awards.

More than 5,000 works of art were submitted from students in seventh through 12th grade across Central New York.

Honored this year are Gold Key winners: Carly Gaffney and Savannah Goodsell.

Silver Key winners include: Abby Chapman, Cassondra Chase, Samantha Dawes, Alaura Gonzalez, Jamie Turner, Jazmyne Banks, Carly Gaffney and Rachel Hlavac.

Honorable Mentions are: Abby Chapman, Andrea Geer, Alaura Gonzalez (2), Mackenzie Mooney, Jamie Turner, Jazmyne Banks (2), Britney Castillo, Rachel Hlavac, Emily Klein and Hannah Youmans.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
