OSWEGO, NY –William, Scriber, Port of Oswego Authority (POA) executive director and CEO, announced that the Port has just concluded negotiations with the International Longshoreman’s Association (ILA) and signed a contract that is in effect through Dec. 2028.
“Signing this contract concludes positive negotiations between the Port and ILA and we are happy to have such a dedicated group of workers here at the Port working toward our mutual success,” Scriber said. “

The Port was recognized in 2023 by a U.S./Canadian research study showing that the Port of Oswego Authority makes a $513 million impact on the local and regional economy and supported 2, 229 jobs by its maritime activity. During this time, the port generated $201.2 million in wages, salaries, and local consumption expenditures for the regional economy.
