OSWEGO — Rollergirls and zombies will invade Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink when the Oz Roller Girls host the North Country Lumber Jills at Dawn of the Derby on June 2.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. The bout begins at 6 p.m.

From a poster illustrated by referee and league member Dvo Snyder of Royal Crown Drawing and Design to a zombie zumba halftime show to a costume contest, the event ties thematically to the fall Oswego Zombie Crawl.
The crawl, where zombie enthusiasts dress up for a spirited walk around downtown Oswego, debuted last year and planners are targeting an Oct. 6 walk this year.
Oswego YMCA Zumba dancers will perform a zombie-themed halftime show, and a portion of the bout proceeds will support the Oswego YMCA Strong Kids campaign.
Members of the public are invited to come dressed as zombies or zombie hunters. A zombie costume contest will take place, with winners receiving tickets to a future Oz Roller Girls bout.
In addition, the Oz Roller Girls are holding a school-supplies drive for the Stuff A Bus program for students in the Oswego School District, and will accept donated items at the bout.
An after-party at Greene’s Ale House invites fans to meet both teams.
Tickets cost $15 for trackside VIP, $10 for general admission, $5 for children 4 to 12 with kids 3 and under admitted free.
