Fulton Pentathlete Mark Aldasch Jr takes 2nd at State Quals

On Thursday (May 31), three boys from the boys’ Fulton Track and Field Team competed at Cicero North Syracuse High School in the New York State Quals.

They are the two Section III Champions Mark Aldasch Jr (Pentathlon) and Dylan Holden (Steeple Chase), along with Qualifier Casey Holden (High Jump) twin brother of Dylan.

Of the three, Fulton athletes only Aldasch was able to place in the top three.

He made it the farthest in the State Competition placing second in the Pentathlon for Division I.

Aldasch also shattered the Fulton school record for the Pentathlon for a second time in less than a week and a third time in a year scoring 8211 points.

The Pentathlon is the most physically gruelling of all high school track events because it consists of five events that are totaled for a combined score to get a winner.

The events of the Pentathlon are 110 Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump, and 1500 meter run. missing or outdated ad config
