Fulton’s Schremp Waived, Picked Up

The National Hockey League’s trade deadline was not kind to Fulton’s Robbie Schremp.

The New York Islanders waived him at the end of last week.  If he had cleared waivers — meaning, if no other NHL team claimed him — he would have been sent to the Islanders’ minor league team in the AHL.

But Monday, the Atlanta Thrashers claimed Schremp off waivers.

Schremp has 10 goals and 12 assists so far this season, his best marks ever in the pros.
