OSWEGO, NY – The community is invited to meet and support members of the new Oz Roller Girls roller derby league when players serve as guest bartenders April 9 at LaGraf’s Pub, 187 E. 10th St.
Members of the first-year women’s roller derby team will tend bar from 7 p.m. until close, accepting tips to raise funds to offset organizational costs that include insurance fees and facilities rental.
In addition, those present can buy chances on two VIP trackside tickets to a home bout, with winner drawn at midnight.
The Oz RollerGirls open their season against the Crown City Rollerz on April 23 at Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with the event starting at 6 p.m.
General admission tickets cost $6 in advance, $8 at the door.
