OSWEGO – Update from Victor tournament and JD match.
Victor tournament
We finished 2nd in our pool by going 4-2 in pool play that put us in the Gold bracket.
In the gold bracket we faced off with a tough Pittsford-Sutherland group and beat them 25-18 to advance to play Baldwinsville in the semifinals.
Baldwinsville’s serving put us back on our heels and we lost two sets to them which knocked us out of the tournament.
This was a good tournament for us to attend as there were some very good teams there.
Vs. JD
With only one match this week we spent time on trying to keep our hitting game on point, and having a stronger net presence.
We did what we set out to do.
We had a lot of aces in the match and we had strong net control with a few point blocks and several kills on the stat sheet by the end of the third set.
With only two weeks remaining in our season, we have a lot of games in a short period of time and need to keep this momentum going and focus on next week with three matches and probably the toughest match we could face on Monday when CNS come to FLS gym.
We need to keep our service errors and contact errors to a minimum to stay on top of the scoreboard on Monday.
