Oswego Speedway Teams with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway announced today the “Racing for Ronald McDonald House” walk scheduled for July 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. located inside the famed Oswego Speedway.

All proceeds from the charity walk will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY, based in Syracuse, is a safe and comfortable place where families whose children are hospitalized in Central New York with serious and sometimes terminal illnesses can find relief just around the corner.

RMHC of CNY gives these families, who often suffer great financial burden due to expenses needed to tend to the medical needs of their child, a place to stay.

Since opening their doors in 1982, more than 17,000 families have found comfort and hope at the Ronald McDonald House in Syracuse.

The charity walk will go off, rain or shine.

Each “Race Walk Team” can consist of any numbers of people and must contain a crew chief and scorer.  The scorer duties can be shared amongst the team or by one dedicated individual.  The only requirement is that each team must have a scorer at the scoring table at all times.

Individual participants are welcome.  In case you do not have a team, there will be openings on the day of the event.

Refreshments will be made available throughout the race and members can take breaks at any time, but one team member must be on the track at all times.

Team can register online at www.oswegospeedway.com by clicking on the Racing for Ronald McDonald House link on the left side of the page.

Completed registration forms can be returned to the Oswego Speedway novelty stand on race nights or mailed to Oswego Speedway with payment at 300 E. Albany St., Oswego, NY 13126.

All team members must pay a $20 registration fee.  The crew chief’s registration is due at the time the team is registered, while team member registrations fees are due upon the day of the event.
