Oswego State men’s tennis team Tops Cazenovia

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s tennis team (1-1) won its first match of the season on Friday as it defeated Cazenovia (0-1) in its inaugural match, 9-0.

All three doubles pairs swept their opponents, 8-0, setting the tempo for a one-sided affair. Sophomore Tim Van Hine (Apalachin, N.Y.) didn’t surrender a game all day, as he defeated Jorge Blass 6-0, 6-0 at second singles.

D.J. Esposito-Kelley (So., Sayville, N.Y.), Sam Moores (So., Honeoye, N.Y.) and Max McCune (Jr., Hilton, N.Y.) also earned two wins on the day.

The Lakers travel to Alfred tomorrow to match up with the Saxons at 12 p.m.
