OSWEGO, NY – After what many would consider a slow start to the Supermodified season, fans of the 800+ HP rockets can rejoice this summer, as 12 consecutive weekends of action will provide a total of twenty Supermodified shows through July, August and September.

Beginning with Saturday’s Oswego Speedway Independence Weekend Grand Prix 75, which is a part of the Triple Crown Championship schedule, and Sandusky (Ohio) Speedway’s MSA event; the month of July will be a busy one for Supermodified fans and teams.

Oswego and the MSA come right back on July 8 with the non-wing supers running a 50-lapper at the Steel Palace as the MSA bunch takes on Lorain County Speedway in Ohio.

Another double-header takes place on July 15 as Oswego puts on its 50-lap Summer Championship, while ISMA travels to Jennerstown Speedway in Pennsylvania.

The $10,000 to win Mr. Novelis Supermodified 75 at Oswego Speedway is the only game in action on July 22, as the first major of the season will provide double points for TCCS competitors.

The very next weekend is the biggest Supermodified event in the Midwest as ISMA and MSA converge on Sandusky Speedway for Hy-Miler Weekend, July 28-29. The first “Classic” of 2017 will see a 40-lapper on Friday and the famed 100-lapper on Saturday.

Both nights will provide TCCS points, with Saturday’s show being a double point special.

Oswego returns to action on August 5 with Retro Night featuring Super Semis and a 45-lap main as the MSA also returns to Lorain County Speedway.

ISMA and Oswego will share a weekend, but separate race nights on August 11 and August 12. ISMA takes on Lee Speedway on Friday while Oswego runs a 50-lapper on Saturday.

Dual events on August 19 will pay huge dividends as Oswego Speedway’s show will crown a champion on track championship night and ISMA’s winner at Delaware International Speedway will head home with a whopping $10,000.

The MSA and Sandusky Speedway will have August 26 all to themselves for a big main event before Budweiser International Classic Weekend at Oswego on Labor Day Weekend.

The Bud Light ISMA Super Nationals will of course take place on September 2 at Oswego with the Budweiser International Classic 200 rounding out the weekend on September 3. The International Classic will be a double-point TCCS show.

The final “Classic” of the season will take place on September 9 for the ISMA Star Speedway Classic which will officially crown the TCCS champions for 2017.

Finally, September 16 the MSA gang will finish a twelve consecutive weekend stretch of action with its championship night at Sandusky Speedway.

“Being that I am only promoting the TCCS this season, I am sort of an outside observer of the Supermodified landscape,” said Dan Kapuscinski. “I know fans have been a little down on the lack of racing to start the year, but there is a ton of racing to watch and support through the next three months. We will have action in Ohio, New York, and New England every weekend through the middle of September. So please go out and support them all and support the sport we love.”
