Top-seeded Oswego State Takes On Rival In Championship

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The top-seeded Oswego State men’s ice hockey team will host No. 2-seed Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC Championship on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The game can be seen over the Internet at athletics.oswego.edu, on Campus Channel 10, Local Channel 96, and Time Warner Channel 1027, which is available in Syracuse, Auburn, Utica, Binghamton and the North Country.

The Lakers, who are 22-2-2, defeated No. 5-seed Fredonia, 8-3, last Saturday night to punch their ticket into the title game.

Plattsburgh comes to town after defeating No. 3-seed Buffalo State, 4-3, in triple overtime to improve to 18-4-4 overall.

Both squads skated to a 2-2 tie in December at Plattsburgh, but Oswego State clinch the No. 1-seed in the tournament when it defeated the Cardinals, 3-0, on Feb. 17.

Tickets are still available for the game.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $3 for SUNY Oswego students with valid college ID.
