State Police are investigating a shooting incident in Village of Phoenix

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.:  Troopers identified the victim as 22-year-old Ismael Hernandez

PHOENIX – On Sunday (November 13), at approximately 10:33 p.m., State Police in Fulton, along with members of the Village of Phoenix Police Department, responded to 25 Lock St. in the village of Phoenix for a reported man with a gunshot wound.

Troopers located a 22-year-old man inside the residence with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where is listed in stable condition, state police said today (Nov. 14).

It appears the victim was shot outside a vehicle in front of 9 Cherry St. in the village of Phoenix around 10:33 last night, according to the police report.

State Police are attempting to locate two possible suspects wanted in connection with the shooting.

The only description of the suspects are black male(s) who were last seen driving a grey sedan south on Route 57 in Oswego County.

The investigation is continuing at this hour.
