PULASKI, NY – On Aug. 10, at approximately 4:07 p.m., two campers at Brennan’s Beach campground in the town of Richland, observed a female floating in the water of Lake Ontario.

The campers pulled the female from the water and contacted 911, according to State Police.

EMS pronounced the female deceased at 4:25 p.m.

The female was identified as Anna-Rose M. Shove, 17, from 5802 Lanson Road Ontario, NY, who had been camping at Brennan’s Beach with her family.

The investigation has revealed that Shove left the campsite around noon yesterday (Aug. 10) alone to go to the beach and was not seen again until the discovery of her body.

If anyone has any information or may have seen Anna yesterday at Brennan’s Beach, they’re asked to contact State Police Investigators in Pulaski at (315) 298-1470.

The Investigation is continuing.
