State Police Make An Arrest In Granby Shooting Incident

GRANBY – On Thursday, March 28, at approximately 10:33 p.m., State Police in Fulton responded to 10 Airport Road, Apt 1, in the town of Granby for a shots fired complaint.

Investigation revealed that Charles Pollock Sr. was cleaning his .22 caliber rifle in the kitchen area of his apartment.

While cleaning the rifle, Pollock expended one round through the living room wall, according to the police report.

The bullet struck 25-year-old, Heaven Ridgeway in her right forearm, who was sitting on a stroller in the apartment complex entrance foyer.

Ridgeway was transported to Upstate Medical Hospital, Syracuse, with non-life threatening injuries, troopers said.

Today (March 29), Pollock Sr., 48, from 10 Airport Road Apt #1 Fulton, NY, was charged with Assault 2nd degree, a class “D” felony and Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, a class “D” felony.

He was processed at SP Fulton and arraigned at Granby Town Court and was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail/ $3,000 bond.

No new court date was listed.
