ARC of Oswego County and its sister agency, Oswego Industries, Inc., announced the hire of Stephanie Crowley as Director of Communications and Community Relations, a new position for the not-for-profit agencies.

Crowley will handle fundraising, donor relations, communications, special events, public awareness, and media relations for both organizations.  She worked for the Food Bank of Central New York for the past four years in fundraising and communications, helping to increase that organization’s visibility and public support, and running their signature special events such as SavorSyracuse.  Her previous experience includes seven years working with Carla Befera & Company Public Relations in the San Francisco Bay Area, handling performing arts clients, and working with performers such as Sean Penn, Woody Harrelson, Liza Minnelli, Carroll O’Connor, Sam Shepard, Cheech Marin, and Nick Nolte.  Crowley received her Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and currently resides in Liverpool with her husband.

ARC of Oswego County is a private, not-for-profit organization which has been providing programs and services to children and seniors with disabilities since 1955.  Services include Early Intervention and evaluation services for infants and toddlers, guardianship assistance, recreational and respite activities, senior day habilitation programs, and more.  Its mission is to be a leader in the field of developmental disabilities, committed to meeting the needs of individual growth, productivity, and independence through education, advocacy, and increased community acceptance and participation.  Its sister agency, Oswego Industries, Inc., provides services to adults with disabilities: together creating a comprehensive support system for Oswego County residents with disabilities.
