OSWEGO – The Oswego County Tourism Advisory Council gathered in the Enlisted Men’s Barracks at Fort Ontario State Historic Site in Oswego for its June meeting.

Janet Clerkin and David Owens of the Oswego County Tourism Office addressed the group to discuss the county’s summer marketing campaign.

Also, members of the Oswego County Tourism Advisory Council recently toured the Safe Haven Holocaust Refugee Shelter Museum in Oswego where they learned about 982 refugees who were housed at Fort Ontario during World War II.

The museum highlights the survivors’ journey to safety and freedom from the Nazi Holocaust.
