SUNY Canton Sportsman Take Center Stage At Fulton Speedway May 19 With A $1,000 To Win Event From Industrial Tire On Syracuse Haulers Night

By Dave Medler
FULTON, NY – Thanks to Dennis Beaudette and Industrial Tire Of Central New York the SUNY Canton Sportsman will be running for extra cash this Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway, as they will be running for $1,000 to win on Syracuse Haulers Night.

As if the weekly racing in the SUNY Canton Sportsman isn’t exciting enough, this week’s feature event will amp up the pressure for the win even more. The top-five in points is led by Jordan Bennett, Beth Schneider, 2011 E&V Energy Novice Sportsman Champion Ron Davis III, Tom Juhl and 2011 track champion Jeremy Pitcher are only separated by 14 points going into Saturday night.

Also on the race card Saturday on Syracuse Haulers night will be the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Mod Lites and Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks.

Skip DeGroff and other Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks will have their cars at the midway behind the main grandstand for a fun event. Kids will be able to dip their hands in paint and put their hand print on the car. In 2011 this was a popular event, so get their early to be in on the fun.

Right next to the cars, don’t forget to sign up for the Jr. Fan Club with Laurie Mortimer. She has many fun events planned for the 2012 season, that includes a weekly drawing for one lucky kid to take a pace car ride with their favorite driver.

The Brewerton and Fulton Speedways have once again teamed up with Syracuse Haulers to “Go Green” throughout the properties of both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways for the 2012 season in an effort for a cleaner environment.

They are continuing recycling at Brewerton and Fulton, as they have placed carts for trash and recycling at strategic locations throughout the track. Each station has a black cart for trash, with a green cart next to it for recycling. Where applicable, we have placed signs indicating what items go in each container. They have also added an 8 yard container to separate cardboard out from the waste stream as well.”

At both speedways you will notice these containers in the grandstand, concession, restroom and pit areas. Together we can all make our time at the speedways a cleaner and more enjoyable night out by doing our part.

For your company or home needs in the “Go Green” area please contact Syracuse Haulers at or 315-426-6771 they are located at 6223 Thompson Road in Syracuse, NY.

Gates will open Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 with racing at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission will be $12 with everyone 18 years old and younger admitted FREE to the grandstand.
