SUNY Oneonta has honored 45 students as the college’s “Best and Brightest” for the fall 2010 semester. The “Best and Brightest” program acknowledges students for outstanding performance in academic work, community involvement, research, or special projects. Faculty and staff members at SUNY Oneonta nominate the students for the recognition.

The “Best and Brightest” students will be recognized at SUNY Oneonta’s annual Community of Scholars, Students of Distinction Reception on next May at the college’s Morris Conference Center.
Ranked ninth among public colleges in the north by U.S. News and World Report, SUNY Oneonta is a liberal arts college with a pre-professional focus. Established as a state normal school in 1889 and incorporated as a founding member of the state university system in 1948, SUNY Oneonta is well known for its commitment to teaching and learning, community service and character-building activities, and scenic campus.
