Voters Say ‘No’ To School Budget Proposal – Again

voting at th education centerUPDATED: A special school board meeting is set Thursday to discuss the budget. Unofficially, voters defeated the 2008-09 spending plan by a 1,666 no to 1,133 yes tally. The school board can now either adopt the budget as currently is or meet and decide to reduce the budget.

Hannibal Board To Detail Second Budget Proposal Tonight

The district will put the $25,122,068 plan to a vote next week. The district opted to host a second vote after voters rejected the initial budget proposal at the polls May 20.
