Conservative candidate for Congress Doug Hoffman came to Fulton Tuesday to open a district office as his campaign entered its final week. Hoffman, according to the independent polls of the race, is running third but gaining on second-place Republican Dede Scozzafava and leader Democrat Bill Owens. Hoffman runs particularly strong in Oswego County. We’ve got more pictures from the event inside.
Former Fulton Athletes & Coaches Say District Should Make Native American Head Symbol The Official Logo
Keep the Red Raider and the Indian head logo. That was the blunt message Tuesday night from a handful of former Fulton athletes, coaches and supporters to members of the Fulton Board of Education.
The district, under pressure from the state Education Department, stopped using a logo showing a Native American head in a traditional headdress. The district kept the name “Red Raiders” and began using what a search of school records shows is the only official logo the school’s ever had — a red block “F”.

Tow Truck Driver Accused of Stealing Money From Car In Drug Investigation
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department charged William J. Murray, 51, of 285 Route 48, Fulton with petit larceny and making a false written statement. He was ticketed and released on Saturday afternoon.
