The Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) recently received two adult and two child-size handmade Adirondack chairs to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the Richardson-Bates House Museum.
The Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) recently received two adult and two child-size handmade Adirondack chairs to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the Richardson-Bates House Museum. Shown in front of the museum, from left, are Bernie Henderson and Peg McKinstry, OCHS Board of Trustees members as they thank the kind creator John Deary who’s seated in one of the chairs. Raffle tickets are available at the museum, 135 E. Third St. or from one of the society’s board members. For questions call 343-1342.

Hannibal Historical Society Hears From Historian On Titanic Sinking
On Monday, October 26, 2009 Hannibal Historical Society welcomes George DeMass, president of Oswego Town Historical Society, to its meeting at Hannibal Community Center, Oswego Street in Hannibal at 7:30 p.m. Mr. DeMass is a member of the Titanic Historical Society, knew some of the survivors and will be speaking about the Titanic tragedy.
