Oswego County Health Department Sponsors Rabies Clinic Aug. 5 at Williamstown Fire Station

Reports of rabies increase during the summer months, and whether you live in a rural area, suburb or city, it is natural to be concerned.

“The most effective way to protect yourself and your family from rabies is to have your pets vaccinated,” said Dr. Dennis Norfleet, Oswego County Public Health Director. “Dogs, cats and pet ferrets are required by law to have a current rabies immunization.”

Health Department Will Hold Rabies Clinic in Hastings Sept. 10

Oswego County residents can have their pets vaccinated against rabies at the county Health Department’s rabies clinic Wednesday, Sept. 10. The clinic will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hastings Town Garage. The garage is behind the Hastings Municipal Building, north of Central Square off U.S. Route 11.
