On Thursday Rotary Past District Governor Ward Vuilemot and Richard Kemmis spoke to the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about Books For the World.

Tony Beckett, team leader, for the Group Study Exchange Team from England, spoke to the members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary at their Thursday meeting. An operational police officer with the Greater Manchester Police, he works in the inner city areas of the city of Salford.

Mary “Ginny” Stamm told the members or the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about her life. When she and her husband, Dr. Alfred Stamm, moved to Oswego they had three foster children with special needs.

On April 28, Abby Stamm displayed her collection of baskets, beads, cooking utensils, jewelry, bags and clothing she has collected in her many Peace Corps assignments to Africa.
Ronald Kaplewicz shared his collection of antique pocket watches with members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary on Thursday. Ron has been collecting pocket watches since an employee showed him his 1898 watch.

On March 17, members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary met at the Oswego Tea Company to discuss their plans for the next few months.
The program’s primary goal is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children. It is aimed at children from families that fall below the federally set income guidelines.

The Oswego Sunrise Rotary will be selling Krispy Kreme Donuts to supports its community service projects once again this year.

Oswego Sunrise Rotary’s newest member, Bill Pittsley, gave his classification talk on Thursday. Bill has a desire to help his community, which led him to join Rotary.
