OSWEGO, NY – On October 27, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This symposium is something you won’t want to miss.
Women employees and business owners need inspiration, ideas, information, and other women to network with.
The theme for this year’s event is “Achieve – Inspire – Embrace Excellence” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, and a dessert reception.
Following lunch, our speakers will participate in a panel Q&A.
Tammy Palmer, NewsChannel 9, will return as our event emcee.
“Tammy has been our emcee several times,” said Evelyn LiVoti, Connections co-chair. “She has been a big part of Connections. We are delighted to have her with us as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.”
Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee.
Free hair and make-up touch-ups will also be available.
Also returning this year is Bee-Hive Networking, a business building activity that allows you to find exactly what you are looking for in a very short period of time.
There are no elevator speeches, no selling, and no fears or discomforts.
Each attendee could walk away with an average of 12-20 cards of qualified prospects who want to meet them.
Come “catch the buzz” with Bee-Hive Networking. Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.
Attendees may also bring a promotional item to display on our promotions table.
“Moving Women to Power” is not only the Connections tagline, it’s also the number one goal of every Connections conference.
That is why Connections created the “Woman of Power” award.
This award will recognize a woman whose civic and community service goes beyond “normal” responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact on the community.
Our finalists are Jennifer Cook, chief of staff for Assemblyman Barclay; Dr. Leia Lindley, DVM; Kristen Shanley, attorney at law; and Lisa Yesensky, owner of The Greenhouse Effect.
Join us as we honor these powerful women and find out who will be named the Woman of Power for 2015.
Major sponsors include SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training, Operation Oswego County and the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center.
