The Salt Potatoes to Entertain at Friends of History Fundraiser

The officers and directors of the Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc. have issued an invitation to the public to attend their annual Porch Party to be held at the John Wells Pratt House Museum, 177 South First Street, Fulton, N. Y. on Friday, June 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30 P. M.

After a long winter, the Porch Party is a welcome to the warmer weather of summer and gives the Historical Society members and friends an opportunity to gather on the lawn at the Pratt House and enjoy the beauty of the gardens and the music of The Salt Potatoes.

The Salt Potatoes are lifetime acoustic musicians. Though they concentrate on the traditional music of this country and the British Isles, they also enjoy playing a good jazz tune, pop tune or Swedish waltz. They are multi instrumentalists and perform on various combinations of guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin. The Salt Potatoes ‘ good-natured rhythms and crowd-pleasing vocals delight listeners’ young and old. They have entertained many times in the past at the Pratt House and their music is always enthusiastically received.

The Porch Party is an annual fund-raiser sponsored by the Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc. and the proceeds are used to maintain the John Wells Pratt House Museum and fund its many activities. A large variety of hors d’oeuvres, wine and punch will be served.
