OSWEGO, NY – On 12/02/12 three men were arrested in connection to a robbery/burglary home invasion that occurred about 1 a.m. on Sunday at a town of Mexico residence.
Ramon Lozano, 26, of 115 Clarence Ave., Syracuse; Cy T. Gibson, 26, of RR Box 2289, Nedrow; and Jacob E. Stanton, 19, of 608 Wolfe St., Syracuse, were each arrested for second-degree burglary and second-degree robbery, both class C felonies, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from their alleged participation in the incident.
Stanton was further charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, a class A misdemeanor, after it was revealed he allegedly falsely identified himself during the investigation.
An outstanding warrant against Stanton was also revealed charging him with violation of probation out of Onondaga County.
The trio was arraigned before Town of Palermo Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility: Lozano and Gibson in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond, and Stanton in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
All three are scheduled to appear before Town of Mexico Court on 12/06/12 to answer the charges.
The men are accused of breaking into a town of Mexico residence, wearing ski masks and gloves, with one reportedly attacking a male victim, wrestling with him on the porch, while the others entered the home from another access.
Before fleeing, they allegedly stole a small amount loose change from the residence.
A short time after leaving the residence, a member of the Phoenix Police Department stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle that the three suspects were reportedly operating.
A subsequent investigation by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office determined that the three occupants were the same three suspects who had reportedly committed the crimes in question.
