Tuesday’s High School Scoreboard

Girls Soccer:

Fulton 3, Mexico 1

Michelle Bateman scored twice for the Raiders, 2-2.  Leah Phillips had the third goal.  Fulton’s defense kept Mexico from getting shots on goal.  Brianna Streeter had to make only 7 saves, while her Mexico counterpart, Anika Perkins, made 23 saves.  Gabby Ariola had the Tigers’ (1-3) lone goal.

West Genesee 6, Oswego 0

Leah Folgherait and Kaitlin Friel stopped a combined 10 shots for the Lady Bucs, but 6 shots got into the goal in this game. The Wildcats wore down Oswego, scoring 5 times in the second half.  Oswego is 1-4 this season.

Girls Volleyball:

Cicero-North Syracuse 3, Oswego 1

The Lady Bucs came close, but could not spike away the Northstars, losing 23-25, 18-25, 25-19, 23-25.  Vanessa Sheffield recorded 18 kills for Oswego and teammate Jessica Benjamin put away 11 more.  Katie Flanagan had 36 assists for 1-3 Oswego.

Girls Swimming:

New Hartford 101, Oswego 74

Traditional league power New Hartford awam away with this meet.  The Lady Bucs won just three events, with Michaela Auer taking two of those, in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard breaststroke.  Katie Metcalf, Iveliz Lopez, Kaila McClelland and Maureen Donovan won the closing 400 freestyle relay.  Oswego is 1-1.
