Denise Merriam and Mike Heagerty announced their engagement.
Ms. Merriam is the daughter of Joann and David Halstead of Fulton, and John and Phyllis Merriam of Binghamton.
Heagerty is the son of Joe and Shirley Heagerty of Fulton.
An August 2010 wedding is planned.
