Centro offering riders Email-Text-Alerts

In anticipation of the severe weather and poor travel conditions, Centro is encouraging customers to sign-up for Email-Text-Alerts to receive the latest bus route status information.

As route statuses change with the weather, Email-Text-Alerts will immediately notify customers on their mobile devices and via email. Email-Text-Alerts are also customizable, allowing riders select the routes they frequently use and when they would like to receive information on them.

Email-Text-Alerts will notify customers in all counties of significant delays and suspensions of service.

In Syracuse and Onondaga County, Centro customers will also be notified if their bus route is operating on Snow Route. Some bus routes have dedicated Snow Routes that will be used when road conditions do not permit buses to traverse the regular route.

When severe weather happens, please plan ahead. Be advised of delays and Snow Routes, dress appropriately, arrive at your bus stop 5 minutes ahead of time, and please take your time crossing snowy sidewalks and streets especially in low visibility situations.

If you need additional assistance, please call Centro Information at (315) 442-3400
