Paula Fredenburg, 73; of Fulton died Wednesday at Sunrise Nursing Home, Oswego.

She was born in Fulton to the late Catherine (DeBarber) and Clarence Nettleton. Mrs. Fredenburg retired as a licensed practical nurse having worked in several area hospitals for many years. She was a past member and post commander of the Central Square D.A.V. Auxiliary. She was also a past member and secretary of the O.C.V.I., and she was an honorary member of the USS Ticonderoga.

Mrs. Fredenburg was pre-deceased by her brother Lawrence Nettleton in 1984 and her husband Victor F. Fredenburg in 1999.

She is survived by her sister Barbara (Joe) Duffy of Pawling, NY; sister-in-law Wilma Nettleton of Rochester, NY; 2 step daughters: Dianna (Joe) Spinner of Parish, Cynthia Borden of Futon, 5 step sons: James Fredenburg, George “Vic” Fredenburg, John Fredenburg and James Baker all of Fulton, and Douglas Fredenburg of TX, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday in Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., and 11:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Harer. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

  2. Paula was my neighbor on Buffalo Street, we occasionally walked to Fulton High together. She always reminded me of how much she appreciated my walking with her to school. Paula was a kind and caring person I and everybody that knew will indeed miss her.
