Burridge finished the week averaging 22.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.67 blocks per game. He went 24-for-41 from the field for a .585 shooting percentage and shot .800 (16-for-20) from the free throw line during the three contests.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team lost its season opener 82-71 to Utica at Max Ziel Gymnasium on Tuesday night. Second half shooting proved to be the difference in the contest as the Pioneers shot 55.2 percent from the field on 16-of-29 shooting, while the Lakers went 14-of-39 for 35.9 percent.
Oswego State has named freshman men’s basketball Player Chad Burridge (Hannibal) and senior women’s basketball player Heather Merino (Queensbury/Lake George) as the college’s Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 16th.
