PHOENIX, NY – April 20, 2024, Deborah Nardozzi Walberger, 69; of Phoenix, NY passed at home after a long illness.

Deborah was born in Geneva, NY to the late Richard and Arlene (Cosentino) Nardozzi.  She was a longtime resident of Fulton, NY and has been a resident of Phoenix, NY for 36 years.  Mrs. Walberger retired from Fulton Consolidated School District where she worked at Fairgrave Elementary as a beloved Kindergarten Teacher for 37 years.  Deborah’s greatest love and passion was being a teacher wife, mother, and loving grandmother and aunt.  She also enjoyed gardening and she was an avid fan of the NY Yankees.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 36 years:  William Walberger of Phoenix, NY and their son Richard (Lauren) Walberger of Phoenix, NY ; her sisters:  Cindy Nardozzi  and Tammy Nardozzi both of Clay, NY; 2 grandchildren:  Grayson and Harper Walberger, her nephew:  Michael Amroa, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be conducted Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella 9:30 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
