McHugh Asks US Attorney General to Conduct Criminal Investigation of Financial Industry

Congressman John M. McHugh (NY-Pierrepont Manor) called on United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey to conduct an investigation of any financial institution, corporation, or individual that is suspected of criminal action relating to our current financial crisis.  The Congressman signed a bipartisan letter with 30 other Members of Congress calling for the Attorney General to conduct a criminal investigation and involve the financial crimes units of other federal agencies to assist in his investigation.

For the past several months now, those who watch the news or read the paper have been inundated with messages and platforms from both major political parties.  No matter whom you’ve decided to support—on a federal or state level—I want to encourage you to get out and vote on Election Day, Nov. 4.  Voting is a privilege our forefathers and mothers fought for.  Unfortunately, many do not take advantage of this right.

Grand Jury Returns Charges Against Teenage Father

An Oswego County Grand Jury has decided that the Fulton teenager who was arrested in July after allegedly causing serious injuries to his 18-month-old daughter will face charges in Oswego County Court. Robby J. Guppy, 17, will now face charges of first-degree attempted assault, second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
