This year Oswego County BOCES is showing its support for our community currently overseas by adopting a U.S. Army platoon. The ECO 2-10 Aviation platoon will be stationed in the Kirk Province, just 20 miles north of Baghdad. Before leaving for Iraq, some of the platoon members took time out to visit Oswego County BOCES.
Mark Rust comes from a musical family. His grandmother immigrated to America in the 1920’s, and later opened a nightclub in which everyone in the family performed music. When Mark was old enough, he joined the family’s entertainment. Over the next many years, the Rust family traveled and performed widely at concerts and festivals.
We couldn’t anticipate then the dramatic changes that have occurred in our economy over the past few months. Today it’s more important more than ever that, as elected leaders, we investigate ways to share services and work cooperatively.
Two students in the Oswego County BOCES New Vision Allied Health Oswego class recently had the experience of a lifetime when they were on hand for the caesarian-section birth at Oswego Hospital.
With Election Day now behind us, I’d like to take this opportunity to commend everyone who voted. We had a tremendous turnout and I also want to thank everyone who took part in the process.
