Oswego native Lisa Manro Dennis jotted down a little tale about her son and his horse never dreaming she would one day share the story with the world. “One Mare that Saved a Life” is now part of an anthology to aid and inspire mare owners and horse lovers everywhere.

The Oswego boys’ varsity hockey team scored a 4-1 win over host Clinton. But the girls’ basketball team fell in the title game of the Linda Sholts-Lala Ponzi Buccaneer Booster Basketball Tournament. And, the Lady Bucs suffered their first loss on the ice this season.

Pulaski Fire Victim Identified

A 68-year-old man, who had been  residing at the motel for about a week, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, the fire started in the victim’s room, near a portable electric heater.
