Fulton Family YMCA Hosts SU Basketball Clinic Saturday, August 8th for Youth in Grades K – 12

The Fulton Family YMCA is encouraging local community kids, who are in grades K – 12, to take part in joining some of the Syracuse University basketball players, for an “instructional clinic” which they promise will be a fun-filled.   The clinic is set for Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Fulton Family YMCA.

New Kids Fun Run Event To Take Place Before The Fulton YMCA’s Loop Around The Lake 15k/5k Run And 5k Walk

New this year! A Kids’ fun run is being offered during Loop around the Lake for all children ages 4-12. The fun run is a ¼ and 1 mile run, which will start promptly at 8:00 am behind the Fulton War Memorial. All kids are number one in our book, so each one will receive a race number, finisher ribbon and goody bag for participating. The first 50 kids to enter will receive a commemorative race t-shirt. All are encouraged to stick around afterwards for some light refreshments and a little entertainment by the Twin Magicians.

Pathfinder Bank Supports “Stuff A Bus”

<br />Mary Tetro of the United Way (c) and Branch Manager, Deana Michaels (r) of Pathfinder Bank in Fulton accept a donation in support of the United Way’s Success By 6 ‘Stuff a Bus’ campaign from Phyllis Kelsey (l). A retired teacher’s assistant from the Fulton School District, Kelsey has been involved with the ‘Stuff-A-Bus” for the past four years and enjoys the opportunity to help children prepare to begin the school year.

In an effort to support the United Way’s Success By 6 ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ campaign, Pathfinder Bank is conducting an in-house collection of school supplies and selling ‘Paper Buses’ to help raise money to purchase school supplies that are less likely to be donated, such as backpacks and calculators, for students in Oswego County who are in need for the upcoming school year.
